Construction Materials Tests for Inspection
Our construction materials laboratory carry out various tests on construction materials for the inspection of construction works. GBRC is approved as a designated testing laboratory by prefectural governments.
Major testing and research activities
- Compression, bending, tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity tests of concrete and mortar.
- Tests of drilled cores to determine strength, carbonation and chloride ion content.
- Bending and tensile strength tests of profile steel, rebars and their welded joints.
- Ultrasonic tests of welded rebar joints.
- Tests of concrete products and bricks.
- Tests of aggregates based on JIS requirements.
